David Richard Berkowitz (born Richard David Falco, June 1, 1953), also known as the Son of Sam and the .44 Caliber Killer, is an American serial killer convicted of a series of shooting attacks that began in New York City in the summer of 1976. Perpetrated with a .44 caliber Bulldog revolver, he killed six victims and wounded seven others by July 1977. As the toll mounted, Berkowitz eluded a massive police manhunt while leaving brazen letters which mocked the police and promised further crimes. Highly publicized in the press, he terrorized New York and achieved worldwide notoriety. Source :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Berkowitz
The Son of Sam killer believed his neighbors dog forced him to commit those horrible crimes, speaking to him and driving him insane until he had no choice but to murder. Does the influence of evil spirits play a real role in some of worlds worst killers? There are accounts and stories all over the world of demonic possession but in the case of David Berkowitz we have a animal making demands and suggesting he carry out these acts of violence. Animals behaving in strange ways, even attacking humans for no reason have been reported. In Tokyo Japan a series of violent attacks and even fires were started by a group of crows (also referred to as a murder of crows) If people can be possessed by spirits why not animals? Of course science and doctors will say he was just a psychopath, insane, ect. but I can't help feeling like sometimes these crimes are the direct result of otherworldly influences. Later on David Berkowitz said that he hated his neighbor's dog barking and that it had nothing to do with his rampage. We'll never know for sure what makes people murder, but maybe we shouldn't dismiss the possibility of the paranormal having a hand in some cases. Or maybe even more disturbing is the sobering fact that maybe these shadows, demons, spirits, are just a natural part of being human and denying our shadow selves makes us feel safe. When we come face to face with true evil will it be a ghostly specter or could it be you?...
Here are some other cases of killers claiming that evil spirits made them murder.
